Staphban 2% Mupirocin Ointment is used to treat localized skin infections such as impetigo, folliculitis, and infected wounds caused by Staphylococcus aureus and other susceptible bacteria. Mupirocin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively stopping bacterial growth. It is applied directly to the affected area, usually 2–3 times daily, and covered with a sterile dressing if necessary. This ointment is intended for external use only and should not be used in the eyes or deep wounds unless directed by a physician.
